Coconut-free and coconut derivatives-free; body, face and hair products

Just imagine, you walk into the store and you have to find a hair product that doesn't have any type of coconut in it. That is includes ALL forms of derivatives of coconut as well. Yeah.. It's an impossible task.

In case you are wondering here is everything that the product can not have it in:
Coconut or coconut-derived ingredients:

I mean to put it short, there is nothing on the market that you could go pick up from the store. I spent hours researching for just some ideas of where I could get shampoo and conditioner without any coconut ingredients. Having coconut ingredients in products right now is really popular, it's impossible anything without it. I did a lot of research to find something, and I came across:

Cargin Valley Soap and Salve has basically saved me.

I have tried several of their products and love them! I hope this helps you if you are also allergic to coconut products. I have found I am very sensitive to coconut, I was breaking out in hives all over my face and my hair and it was lasting for months no matter how many times I tried switching up my products.

You can find all of her coconut free products here: https://www.chagrinvalleysoapandsalve.com/help-me-choose/coconut-free/

Here are some of my favorites:

Olive & Babassu (Shampoo bar)

https://www.chagrinvalleysoapandsalve.com/p/shampoo-bar-olive-babassu/
(yes it does have hair on it, but that is proof I have been using it for a long time now)
I have been using this product for about 4 months now. It is nourishing and it did take a while for my hair to get used to this product. My hair was oily for about a week, and once my hair adjusted, I was really happy with this shampoo! Plus it's a bar, so you can use every last bit, and it is so easy to travel with. I just cut off a small part of the shampoo and took it with me.
It was $8.95 per 5.8 OZ bar, but if you want to try a sample, she does offer a sample bar for $2.90 and it is 1.7 oz
Ingredients:
Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Organic Babassu Oil, Water, Organic Virgin Shea Butter, Sodium Hydroxide, Organic Castor Bean Oil, Organic Rosemary Oil Extract (ROE)

Creamy Shea Hair Balm

https://www.chagrinvalleysoapandsalve.com/p/hair-balm-creamy-shea/

This product is intended to be used as a hair conditioner. I do not use it every day though because I have found that when I do use it every day, my hair is really greasy. I do use this conditioner about once a week and I leave it in my hair for about 20 minutes. I also do this BEFORE washing my hair, so that I can wash my hair a couple of times after so that no oil is left on my hair.

It is $12.95 for a 2 oz jar. I have had this for about 2 months and have still not finished it. I am really impressed with this conditioner!

Ingredients:
Organic Virgin Shea Butter, Organic Babassu Oil, Organic Sweet Almond Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil

Argan Pumpkin Facial Oil:

https://www.chagrinvalleysoapandsalve.com/p/facial-oil-argan-pumpkin/

I needed something to use on my face to hydrate my skin. I can't use any normal lotions and I feel like everything else I have is way too thick and breaks out my skin. I love this oil to hydrate my skin! I use only a few drops every day after I wash my face. It's said to help with irritated skin, so I also use this on my arms! I haven't had any reactions to this oil. I really love it! My best advice though is that a little goes a long way!

This is $16.25 for a 1 OZ bottle.

Ingredients: Organic Argan Oil, Organic Pumpkin Seed Oil, Organic Sunflower Oil, Organic Tamanu Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Calendula, Organic Plantain, Organic Elder Flowers, Organic Marsh Mallow Root

Grapeseed Tomato Complexion:

https://www.chagrinvalleysoapandsalve.com/p/soap-grapeseed-tomato-complexion/
I use this every day as my face wash! I love it. Something I love about this is that tomatoes help balance oily skin. I have really oily skin with dry patches. I was worried that if I used a bar soap it would leave that waxy feeling on my face, but it doesn't! I just feel really clean. I feel like it really cleans out my pores and if I use this in a combo with an exfoliator then it will also help with those dry spots I get. There are so many yummy incredible ingredients packed into this soap.

It is $8.95 for a full 5.8 oz bar. I feel like this could last me a year, I haven't even made a dent since I only use it on my face, so I probably could have gotten away with the trial size 1.7 oz for $2.90

Ingredients:
Organic Grapeseed Oil, Organic Palm Oil (Sustainable), Organic Babassu Oil, Organic Virgin Shea Butter, Water, Organic Tomato Juice, Organic Sunflower Oil, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Organic Canola Oil, Organic Tomato Puree, Organic Castor Bean Oil, Kaolin Clay, Geranium Essential Oil, Lavender Essential Oil, Palmarosa Essential Oil, Ylang Ylang Essential Oil, Organic Rosemary Oil Extract (ROE)

I have been using their company since December, around 4 months, and my skin is finally clear. I have a lot less reactions, my head doesn't always itch and I'm finally able to use something I am not allergic to! I hope this helps you if you are also allergic to coconut or coconut derivatives.

Egg-Free Pancakes

I don't know about you but breakfast is my least favorite meal of the day. Take eggs away and I feel like I'm not left with very many options for breakfast, especially when it comes to something with protein.  Pancakes can be a tricky one. I really struggled to find a brand that had protein without already having eggs in the mix. Kodiak Cakes, Flapjack and Waffle mix is egg free and it has 14g of protein per serving. I prefer the Buttermilk mix. When we make these pancakes, we just use water to mix with the batter. If you do add milk, that does help add more protein per serving.  Ingredients: 100% whole grain wheat flour, 100% whole grain oat flour, wheat protein isolate, brown sugar, whey protein concentrate, milk protein concentrate, buttermilk powder, leavening (monocalcium phosphate, sodium bicarbonate), sea salt. Contains milk and wheat. Also contains trace amounts of egg, peanut, soy, and tree nuts due to processing on shared equipment. I do not stay a...
